Yes. It's one of the best beginner printers available in 2026. Auto calibration is reliable, Bambu Studio is easy to use, and first print success rate is very high. The main limitation is the 180x180x180mm build volume, not ease of use.

Occasionally in small parts in a warm, draft-free room. Not reliable enough to depend on. If ABS is a consistent requirement, buy the enclosed P1S — the chamber makes a real difference.

If you need ABS printing, large parts, or camera monitoring, yes. If you print PLA and PETG in parts under 180mm, the A1 Mini does that job excellently for around £350 less.

The A1 Mini has a 180x180x180mm build volume. The P1S has a 256x256x256mm build volume — roughly 2.5x the printable volume. For large objects, the P1S is the only option in this comparison.

For most first-time buyers, the A1 Mini at around £299. It teaches you everything about modern FDM printing and produces excellent results. If you already know you need an enclosure or larger build volume, start with the P1S.
